I have a 2006 Tucson GL.

My window sticker indicates I have Electronic Stabilization Control
with Electronic Traction Control.

Everyplace I have looked (including the owners manual) shows 2
dashboard switches to disable each system separately.

Mine has a ESC switch but no TCS switch. There is a blank panel where
the TCS switch is supposed to be.

Anyone else out there with a 2006 GL. Does yours have 2 separate
switches?

I have a Tucson, 2005, automatic, 4WD, 6 cyl.  Though I got a good deal when
I stumbled on a used one (3300 miles) and bought it at a good price.  But
mileage has been awful.  I’ve put 2000 miles on it so far, and mpg has
dropped off from 13 mpg to current 10 mpg…  I had only one lengthy freeway
run, about 200 miles, and even then only did about 17 mpg.

Does anyone have any thoughts?  I took it to dealer;  mechanic says there is
nothing wrong with car, but I disagree.  I don’t know how to approach this
problem mechanically.

How can I tell if my ’95 Elantra GLS has rear shocks or struts? Thanks.

We have a 2005 Elantra with 9000 plus miles on it.  Got it in Oct of
’05 and am very pleased with it.  I will be needing another car later
this year. I am thinking of an 06 or 07 Sonata.  I am in no rush to
purchase.  My question is, does anyone have any insight or knowledge
about the ’07?  Any thought on the warrantee.  I heard that the
100,000 miles will be reduced.  Don’t know if there is any truth to
that.  Are there any ’06 owners that have nagging problems; the type
that you can live with, no repair for, just a qwerk of the car.  i.e I
have heard there is a lag in gas pedal response, any truth to that.
Thinks like that I am interested in.  Any feed back would be
appreciated.  I know the Sonata is a good car, as is my Elantra.  Any
thoughts on the ’07.Thanks.

Other car bumped into the left front side my Santa Fe bumper: no
dent/cracks, just a few scratchs that show the next layer darker color
different from that of the surface.

How to repair something like this?

Anyone added OEM or OEM type fog lights to a Tucson GL?

Good, inexpensive source for the lights?

I read that perhaps the wiring connector is not present on the GL
harness for the fog lights. Comments?

Apparently, Hyundai has discovered the issue with the Santa Fe evaporator
drain dripping onto the exhaust.

Hyundai has released a revised evaporator drain hose that (purportedly, I
haven’t tried this yet) doesn’t drip the water on the exhaust.  See TSB
06-97-002, released 4/10/06.

Well, some good news on the gas mileage front.  It appears that my
Sonata is responding well to the warmer weather we’ve had lately (50s
and 60s).  The last two fill-ups have been higher than previous tanks
and the last tank broke the magic 30 MPG mark that I’ve been hoping for.
  I can’t call a trend on two data points, but things are looking more
promising.  I also just changed the oil at the 5,000 mile mark (initial
change was at 2,500) and used Mobil 1 5W-30 rather than dino oil.
