What happened to Robin?

Except for your stereo and seat belt issue, very little word since you made
your purchase. Are you happy or have you driven the XG350 over a cliff? Sold
it?
FYI, Consumer Reports just listed the XG350, Sonata and Santa Fe as
recommended models in their annual car issue.

Yeah, that was me.  Just go to the dealer and give them your VIN.
Once they look it up to see that your car is an LX (as if the Leather
interior isn’t enough) they’ll remove the old "V6" emblem and put on
an "LX V6" emblem.  There was a large batch of the 2003 models that
came from the factory with the wrong emblem.

transmission

Now that my 200 Tib is out of warrentee, I am thinking about modding
it for performance.

Does anyone have any specs or or know the manufacturer/model of the
tranny?  I want to make sure that anything I do (big bore throttle
body, MSD, turbo or super charger) will not over-stress the tranny.

Thanks.

Wood grain in Sonata

Has anyone in here installed their own wood grain finish in their Sonata? If
so did it void your warrantee. Where did you purchase it? I was told by my
dealer that THEY have to order it and INSTALL it so my warrantee does not
void. Does this hold any truth.

Elantra parking lights

Do the yellow parking lights stay on when the headlights are on? They don’t
on our new Elantra and I’m thinking they should.

Thanks

2000 hyundai accent engine

thrown timing belt resulted in loss of compression in cylinder 4. But it
would be great for parts!
Best offer. I need to get it outta my garage.

a buddy of mines x-wife didnt change the timimng belt when told to do so, so
they would not warranty it.

Is Hyundai maintenance expensive?

Many people tell me Hyundai cars break down easily and maintenance is
expensive. Is that true? Are Hyundai parts more expensive than Toyota?
Is Hyundai reliable?

I’m looking at a Hyundai Elantra 2000 with 27000 miles on it. The
breaks are loud and the steering wheel shakes at 65mph. Do you think
this car can last?

XG350L Question

Recently purchased a 2003 350L. My problem is it is almost impossible to
read the bottom gauge with all the temperature settings(heat, a/c etc.)
during the day. I have to put my hand over the gauge to shade it to see
what the settings are.  I’ve talked to the dealer and they said this was a
common problem and there is no fix for it.  I see they have put a brighter
gauge in the 2004′s.  Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix
it?  Does anyone have a 2003 350L without this problem? Thank You.

Hyundai clearcoat scratches

Hi all.  Just bought a used 2001 Accent, and I am very happy with it.
However, the previous owner ran it thru car wash’s and such, and it
has that million scratch look.  I’ve read all the posts about how to
buff it out, etc., but I have question: has anyone ever just
re-clearcoated a car to get rid of the scratches?  Not a total
repaint, but just two coats of new clearcoat.  Will that get rid of
the scratches?   Thats what I do to my kitchen table, works good for
that.  :)  Any info appreciated in advance.
